Handsworth Wood  Neighbourhood update  – 03/08/2026 – 18/08/2026

Welcome to this week’s crime and community update for the Handsworth Wood area. Our neighbourhood team remains committed to tackling key crime issues affecting residents, especially around domestic abuse, robbery, burglary, and vehicle crime. We also continue to engage with schools and local partners to provide early intervention and support.

 🛑 Crime Updates

 Burglary

 One attempt burglary reported Cassoway Road on 16/08/2026.

➡️ Please remain vigilant and review your home security — consider alarms, CCTV, and good lighting.

 Vehicle Crime

We have received three reports of theft of motor vehicle at the below locations.

There has been one report of Theft from motor vehicle on Laurel Road.

There has been an attempt theft of a motor vehicle on Regent Road. 

➡️ Key-less entry theft remains a concern. Please use Faraday pouches, remove visible items, and consider physical deterrents like steering wheel locks.
